About

About The Blog:

This blog started as a general creativity blog. Some days I just need more time to be creative and some days my mind is as dry as a bone - but mostly my brain is like the good juicy bones that you get out of roasts that are full of marrow.

I, however, have always been terrible about keeping a good writing schedule and it has more recently become my place for teaching development. I am currently working on a Master's degree and combined teaching licensure program. Much of my writing will focus on this topic in a reflective and, hopefully, thought provoking way.

You might also find some political/ educational/ philosophical ranting here from time to time, but that’s what happens when the author is married to a philosopher.

About Me:

I've been a reader since I can remember. I learned young and never stopped. I've been writing and creating art since I can remember. I had a teacher that believed in the method of learning through writing. We wrote about everything - all the subjects and "published" our own little books. I can't remember a time since then that I did not have notebooks and loose pages anywhere and everywhere with bits of writing and stories. With parents and siblings who are each creative and artistic in their own ways, sketchbooks and art supplies were always common Christmas and birthday presents.

I am posting my personal book challenge here for the third year running. I feel it has been a successful venture to keep track of my progress and discuss some of the books I am reading here. I feel that without a love of reading, it becomes much harder to function in our world. Reading keeps our minds active, our imagination alive and our diction and expression honed. With active minds, imagination and the ability to articulate our thoughts and ideas, we can better understand and interact in our world.
